創作舞台「つるの女房」 – Turu no Nyoubou

歌と器楽曲から始まった「つるの女房～さよなら与ひょう～」を、一つの創作作品として一時間ほどに仕上げました。
おつうはなぜ空へ帰らなくてはならなかったのか。
その答えを探るように、語りと歌が織り交ぜられ、物語に重厚感が増しました。
This work evolved from songs and instrumental pieces into a full-length creation of about one hour.
It explored the question: Why did Otsuu, the crane-wife, have to return to the sky?
Through narration and song, the story gained a deeper resonance.

クライマックスでは、つるとなったおつうの悲しみを人間の言葉で語ります。
しかし実際には彼女はすでに半ば鳥となっている――その矛盾をどう表現するか、当初は大いに悩みました。

人間の女の悲しみと同じではない。
少し無機質な響きを含めて舞うことで、人と鳥の境界にある存在を描き出そうと努めました。

In the climax, Otsuu’s sorrow is spoken in human words.
Yet she is no longer fully human — already half transformed into a crane.
How could I portray such a paradox?

I sought to balance the grief of a woman with an otherworldly detachment, shaping the dance with both human emotion and a touch of the inhuman.
