二胡舞踊曲「つるの恩返し」 – Tsuru no Ongaeshi

この作品は、かつて演じたオペラ「夕鶴 ～さよなら与ひょう～」から着想を得て生まれました。
少しずつ形を変えながら育んできた「つるの恩返し」ですが、この公演で二胡のための舞踊曲として新たな姿を得ました。
二胡の妖艶で哀切な音色が、おつうの心情を鮮やかに映し出すように感じられます。
再び上演したいと願う、大切な作品です。
Dance Piece “Tsuru no Ongaeshi” for Erhu

This piece was inspired by my performance in the opera Yuzuru – Farewell, Yohyo, which later gave birth to the idea of “Tsuru no Ongaeshi” (The Crane’s Return of Favor).
Over time, the work evolved, and in this concert it was reborn as a dance piece accompanied by the erhu.
The erhu’s haunting, sorrowful tone seemed to embody the emotions of Otsuu with striking clarity.
It remains one of the works I long to perform again.
